Operations & Marketing Assistant, Women in Identity - Contract basis
Fee Range: £27,000 - 35,000 per annum. Fee dependent on experience (full time)
Location: Remote
Contract Term: 12 months with option to extend (self-employed contract)

About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an ambitious not-for-profit, working with an experienced international volunteer team and our amazing sponsors and partners. You will be in a key role in the organization, supporting our mission and vision, and helping to continue the strong growth we’ve forged over the last 12 months.
This is an “all hands on deck” role with the flexibility to shape the position as your own.
About you:
You will be a strong self-starter using your own ideas and initiative, able to work independently with good attention to detail. You will be passionate about making a difference in diversity and inclusion. We’re looking for a junior operations or marketing assistant with strong social media, communication and admin skills, who wants the opportunity to be involved with strategy and delivery. You’ll have some previous event planning experience.
Marketing Responsibilities:
- Create content for emails, newsletters, website and social posts that work for the human reader AND search robots
- Schedule and monitor social media activity to ensure we get maximum exposure for new and existing content, and support the social media strategy
- Asset creation e.g. social media tiles and images for the website/newsletter
- Leverage Google Analytics to provide actionable insights and continuously improve our digital marketing
- Use of software such as Canva, Hubspot, Google business apps and Hootsuite
- Work across multiple social media channels and optimize how to get maximum engagement from each
- Conduct written and recorded interviews with thought-leaders in the Identity and Financial Services industries
- Run campaigns for events like Giving Tuesday and International Women’s Day.
- Prepare newsletters and other membership emails in Hubspot
Event Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver a webinar/ podcast content plan
- Communicate with event organizers regarding media agreements
- Prepare and propose (where relevant) key messages for events in collaboration with the Event team. Take responsibility for the delivery of those messages on social media
- Take initiative to grow the event list to extend to potential sponsors and influential guests.
Key Administration Responsibilities:
- Schedule meetings for board members and take notes
- Keep action logs in relevant meetings and remind owners of tasks
- Help with building and maintaining training resources for volunteers
- Distribute agendas and documentation for meetings
- Liaise with sponsors and manage the Jobs Board
- Prepare newsletters and membership emails
